Obstetrics (Pregnancy) Ultrasound?

What Is an Obstetric Ultrasound? Obstetric ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging tool used to monitor fetal development and assess the health of both mother and baby throughout pregnancy. It plays a vital role in: Confirming pregnancy, estimating gestational age, checking for multiple pregnancies, monitoring fetal growth and well-being, detecting potential complications such as ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, or miscarriage, evaluating fetal anatomy to screen for possible abnormalities, assessing the placenta's position and function, measuring cervical length to help evaluate risk of preterm labour. This scan provides essential information at every stage of pregnancy, supporting safe and informed care for you and your baby.

Pelvic/Gynaecological Ultrasound

What Is a Pelvic Ultrasound? A pelvic ultrasound may be recommended if you're experiencing symptoms such as lower abdominal pain, urinary issues, abnormal menstrual bleeding, fertility concerns, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), prostate problems, or other pelvic-related conditions. It can also be performed as part of a routine health assessment. This safe, non-invasive scan is used to evaluate the pelvic organs, including: Bladder, uterus and ovaries, prostate gland, and surrounding soft tissue in pelvis. Pelvic ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool that helps your doctor assess and manage a wide range of reproductive and urinary health concerns. A pelvic exam can be performed transabdominal (from the top) or transvaginal (an internal scan).

Abdomen Ultrasound

What Is an Abdominal Ultrasound? Your doctor may recommend an abdominal ultrasound if you’re experiencing symptoms such as abdominal pain or discomfort, nausea, vomiting, bloating, or swelling. It’s also commonly requested when there is a concern about gallstones or abnormal blood test results related to organs such as the liver, pancreas, or kidneys. An abdominal ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive imaging test used to examine the internal organs within your abdomen. These include the: Liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, aorta and inferior vena cava (IVC), bladder, uterus and ovaries (in women), prostate gland (in men). This scan helps provide valuable insights into the health of these organs and assists your healthcare provider in diagnosing and managing a wide range of conditions.

Small Parts Ultrasound

What Is a Small Parts Ultrasound? Small parts ultrasound is a specialized scan used to assess superficial structures and soft tissues just beneath the skin. It is commonly performed to evaluate: Thyroid gland, breast tissue (in both female and male patients), scrotum, salivary glands, soft tissue lumps and bumps, and injuries. This non-invasive and painless scan provides detailed images to help detect abnormalities, monitor known conditions, or guide further medical treatment.

Doppler (Vascular) Ultrasound

What Is a Doppler Ultrasound? A Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging test used to assess blood flow in the body’s arteries and veins. It uses high-frequency sound waves to help detect and diagnose a range of vascular conditions, including: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), blood clots, narrowed or blocked blood vessels, other circulation-related concerns.
